JP is not just your everyday startup founder. He has years of experience as a corporate and tax partner with both a large national law firm and a “big 4” professional firm where he started their Canadian corporate law practice.

He is a visionary, thought leader in legal innovation and a former member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Legal Futures Initiative, created to focus on the future legal marketplace. He founded Ingenio with the view of improving the delivery of corporate legal services for the benefit of both clients and lawyers.

Through his unique blend of legal experiences, JP noticed gaps in the tools offered to lawyers creating errors, waste of time and resources, which ultimately resulted in persistent and unnecessary pains for legal professionals.

Joel is a dynamic leader with 30 years of experience in operating startup social enterprises and nonprofit organizations. His journey has been marked by his ability to drive growth and build organizations with limited resources, focusing on key issues that accelerate success.

He is dedicated to helping organizations thrive, with expertise spanning human resources, finance, communication, risk management, strategy, and operations. His leadership style combines innovation with a strategic approach and an unwavering focus to overcoming challenges.

As the founder of 2L Consulting Ltd. in 2014, Joel has provided invaluable consulting services, helping organizations develop business plans, secure financing, and launch impactful initiatives. His career is a testament to his commitment to fostering sustainable growth and making a meaningful impact where ever he is involved.

Samawia is an accomplished engineering leader with over a decade of experience designing and delivering scalable, cloud-driven solutions. At Ingenio Solutions, she leads the architecture and development of modern web applications, leveraging AWS serverless technologies and reacted to build reliable, high-performing systems.

She is passionate about mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and translating business needs into clear, actionable roadmaps. Her work at Ingenio includes spearheading the shift to microservices to accelerate deployments and integrating AI models to automate onboarding workflows—initiatives that have improved efficiency, reduced manual effort, and elevated client satisfaction. With her blend of technical expertise and collaborative leadership, Samawia ensures the team delivers innovative solutions that consistently exceed expectations.

August brings 14 years of experience in software, IT operations, and project delivery to Ingenio, combining technical depth with strong execution leadership. He began his career as a software engineer and went on to lead information-management systems and technology rollouts for large global engineering firms, supporting projects across the Asia-Pacific and North American regions while managing complex, multi-site teams.

Since joining Ingenio in 2020, August has helped guide the platform from early development into a full legal-automation system supporting corporate records, entity management, document workflows, and AI-assisted onboarding. He works closely with legal, product, and engineering teams to translate business goals into clear project plans, reliable workflows, and scalable systems that reflect how law firms operate in the real world.

Today, Augustus supports Ingenio’s compliance and governance initiatives while continuing to lead operational improvements and platform evolution. He is passionate about building secure, dependable technology — and about delivering projects that create real value for clients and teams alike.
